ABOUT DELT

Delta Tau Delta was founded in 1858, Bethany College Virginia, making it one of the oldest social fraternities in the United States. Currently there are 130 Chapters nationwide as well as over 170,000 lifetime members.

In 1882 the Beta Delta chapter was founded here at the University of Georgia and soon grew into the role that it has maintained to the present day as a leader in the Greek System.

Today, the brothers of Delta Tau Delta are active both inside and outside the classroom. Many of our members excel in fields ranging from business and political science to engineering and pre-law. Others contribute to student government, or hold leadership positions in campus organizations.

Beyond academics, our chapter is deeply involved in campus life. Our brothers are members of organizations such as UGA Miracle, the Student Government Association, with many taking on leadership roles.

Additionally, we actively support our national philanthropy, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), through fundraising events and volunteer efforts. One of our largest philanthropy events, Sound of Milledge, brings together the UGA and Athens communities for a night of live music to raise money for JDRF.
