On a national level, Delta Tau Delta has committed itself to the fight for a cure against type one diabetes, and here at UGA we have reaffirmed the fraternity’s commitment to ending this disease that impacts millions across the globe. Our national philanthropy, Breakthrough T1D, is the leading global organization harnessing the power of research, advocacy, and community engagement to advance life-changing breakthroughs for type 1 diabetes.
Each year, our chapter engages in a myriad of different events in support of Breakthrough T1D, however our flagship fundraising push has traditionally found life in Sound of Milledge. This year Sound of Milledge will be taking place at 40 Watt in Downtown Athens, with the theme of “Icons of Music.” Through this event we aim to raise over $5000 to donate to Breakthrough T1D on our chapter’s behalf to help the fight against type one diabetes.
